By way of present petition filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, contempt proceedings are sought to be initiated against the respondents towards alleged willful non-compliance of order dated 24.03.2023 passed by this Court in CWP-26229-2019.

Short reply by way of affidavit of Paramjeet Singh, IAS, Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab has been filed in the Court. Same is taken on record. Copy thereof has been supplied to the counsel opposite.

Learned counsel representing the respondent submits that the order qua which the contempt proceedings have been sought, stands complied with, by passing a speaking order, thereby rendering the present petition as infructuous. 3.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition. However with liberty to challenge the same, in accordance SANDAL SHARMA 2024.09.26 14:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
