On 06.09.2023, following order was passed by this Court:- "The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to issue her Police Clearance Certificate.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that as on date, no FIR is pending against the petitioner as police has already filed cancellation report. Learned State counsel seeks time to get instructions and verify factual position with respect to pending FIRs.

The passport authority is directed to consider documents furnished by the petitioner with respect to pending FIRs and take an appropriate decision before the adjourned date."

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Lakhwinder Kumar, PS Matour and HC Jagdeep Singh, PS City Sunam, submits that three FIRs were registered against the petitioner and cancellation reports have been prepared/filed in all the three cases, thus, as on date, no investigation is pending against the petitioner. 3.

Counsel for the respondents-Union of India asserts that passport authority, in the wake of statement of learned State counsel, would process application of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order within six weeks from today.

In the wake of statement of learned counsel for Union of India, the petition stands disposed of.
