**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this petition for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 and 2 to decide the representation dated 26.10.2021 in the context of granting permission for organizing sport event of Kabaddi cup (tournament) by the petitionerClub. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid Club is a registered Sports Club under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The Club used to promote sports events of football and Kabaddi in the area.

Earlier, the petitioner approached this Court by way of filing CWP No.37425 of 2019 and the same was disposed of on 20.12.2019 directing the Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar to JYOTI SHARMA 2021.12.03 16:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 24614 of 2021 -2take a decision upon the representation of the petitioner. Though the writ petition is silent with regard to outcome of the decision of the representation, but in the present case, petitioner craves indulgence of this Court for disposal of representation dated 26.10.2021 by the Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar within a specified period.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, D.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of calling upon response from the respondents at this stage, as no order prejudicial to the interest of any party is being passed.

Without making any observation on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to take note of the pending representation filed by the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law, without being influenced by any statement of fact made hereinabove, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
