Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only prayer of the petitioner in the present petition is that he has filed an application dated 10.06.2025 (Annexure P-5) with respondent-Punjab School Education Board seeking correction in his date of birth in the matriculation certificate issued by the respondent- Punjab School Education Board but the same is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Saurav Verma, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 1 and Mr. Ranjit Singh Kalra, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 2 & 3 and submit that in case, any application seeking correction of date of birth of the petitioner in his matriculation certificate has been submitted by the petitioner in the office of the concerned authorities or the same is still pending consideration with the authorities concerned, the same will be decided by the competent authority by keeping in view the facts of the present case, within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of certified copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order and in case, the petitioner is found entitled for grant of any relief, the same will be granted to him, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioner will be mentioned in the speaking order the said reasons will also be conveyed to the petitioner for his information and necessary action. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 5.
