NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the action of the respondents in not extending the benefit of Notification dated 16.07.2024 (Annexure P-7) to the petitioner. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to update his category from General (Unreserved) to BC-A in his application form and consider him under the BC-A category in the light of the Notification dated 16.07.2024 (Annexure P-7) and his BC-A Certificate dated 24.07.2024 (Annexure P-8). CWP No.21407 of 2024 (O&M) respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner under BC-A category provisionally for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) against the Advertisement No.59/2023 (Annexure P-4), subject to final outcome of the present petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the claim of the petitioner has been considered under the general category but he could not qualify the screening test and therefore, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous.

Disposed of as having become infructuous.
