**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.71 dated 16.06.2023, registered under Sections 380, 34 IPC, at Police Station Division-E, Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been involved in the present case; that the petitioner has never worked with complainant, namely, Harish Babbar, who is running a jewellery shop; that as per the CCTV footage, only one person can be seen committing the crime and that the petitioner has nothing to do with the alleged theft.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. As per the complainant's version, the petitioner along with one Rohit (Loi) are the goldsmith. On 13.06.2023, they have committed theft of 35-40 bags (gattu) along with 25-30 grams of gold wastage (powder), after inserting their hands in the grill installed in the second floor of the shop.
