The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.2 has been arrested in some other FIR and petitioner No.1 has gone back to her parental home and, hence, he has no instructions in the present matter.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case. However, respondent No.3-SHO, Police Station Model Town, District Panipat is directed to ensure that petitioner No.1 is not put to harm in any manner.
