By way of present petition filed under Sections 10 &12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, prayer has been made for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondents for alleged willful non-compliance of the Order dated 20.05.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-6915-2023. 2.

The operative part of the order dated 20.05.2024 passed in CWP6915-2023 is extracted hereunder: "The respondents are directed to grant the petitioner benefit of interest @ 6% per annum on the delayed release of her pensionary benefits from the date the same became due till the actual payment.

Let the present order be complied with within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Present petition is allowed in above terms.

Civil Miscellaneous application pending, if any, is also disposed of."

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that except for interest upon the delayed release of arrears of pension, all other monetary

COCP-3052-2024 (O&M) benefits already stands released in favour of the petitioner. He on instructions from Dr. Balwinder Garg, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Kaithal, submits that the interest on the delayed payment of the arrears of pension shall be released within a period of 3 days from today. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that disbursement of the salary of the petitioner for a period of 8 months was also delayed by the respondents.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner shall make a representation to the respondents within a period of 2 weeks from today who shall take a final call thereupon within a period of 4 weeks thereafter and pass a speaking order within a period of two months thereafter. In case any cause still survives, petitioner shall be at liberty to revive the present petition.

Disposed of accordingly.

Rule stands discharged.
