In compliance of the order dated 26.09.2023, the petitioners are present in Court. Petitioner No. 1 has been interacted who was lying in the Court and has stated that she has got married to petitioner No. 2 on 12.08.2023 as her parents had refused from the said marriage. 2.

However, a perusal of the paper book demonstrates that petitioner No. 2 is yet not of marriageable age and the marriage was never solemnized between the parties.

Status report by way of affidavit of Mr. Sukhnaaz Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Central), Ludhiana, has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

The status report demonstrates that the parties were called PARUL 2024.01.16 18:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document for enquiry and the parents of petitioner No. 1 have categorically stated that

2023:PHHC:164444 CRWP-8887-2023 -2there was no threat perception exerted by them and rather the petitioner No. 1, who is present in Court also admitted that her parents are person with disabilities. Subsequent thereto, the petitioners got their statement recorded that no police action is required and their representation may kindly be consigned to the record room.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. However, the act and conduct of the petitioner is condemned for not coming to the Court with clean hands, therefore, the petitioners are imposed with a cost of Rs. 1,000/- which shall be deposited with "Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Clerks Association" within one month from today for filing this frivolous petition with a word of caution that they shall not abuse the process of law again.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
