(ORAL) Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from the hands of respondents No. 5 to 9 and to take legal action against them.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No.3Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to consider and take a final decision on representations dated 01.09.2023 (Annexure P-3 and P-5) made by the petitioner in a time bound manner.

Ms. Kanica Sachdeva, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 4 and submits that she has no objection in case the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage, is accepted.
