Petitioners seek stepping up of their pay at par with their juniors - respondents No. 4 to 15. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that benefit to similarly situated persons has already been afforded by the respondentDepartment. In this respect, it is submitted that legal notice dated 08.10.2021 (Annexure P8) has been served upon the respondents but to no avail. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer for a decision on the legal notice dated 08.10.2021 (Annexure P8), in a time bound manner.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Ayush Sarna, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3 - State. Advance copy of the writ petition already stands supplied. Learned counsel for the State does not raise serious objection to the limited prayer addressed.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, but without any expression of opinion on the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of RITU SHARMA 2021.12.13 10:26

CWP-25123-2021 -2with a direction to the competent authority to consider and decide legal notice dated 08.10.2021 (Annexure P8), within a period of three months from receipt of certified copy of this order. In case of an order adverse to the petitoners, same be by way of a speaking order.
