The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the order dated 08.07.2019 whereby the petitioner has been suspended. He also prays for issuance of the writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent No.2 to release the arrears of his increment and other allowances.

The relevant facts, in brief, are required to be noticed. The petitioner was appointed on the compassionate basis as a Beldar. He was found absent from his duty w.e.f. 20.06.2019. Subsequently, it came to the notice of the authorities that an FIR No. 81 dated 21.06.2019 under Section 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, has been registered against the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner was placed under suspension vide order dated 08.07.2019.
