The learned counsel for the petitioners admits that the concerned authorities have not passed any order restraining the elected office bearers of the Gram Panchayat, Village Saiffalpur, to continue to perform their functions. The petitioners claim that the officials are interfering in their working.

The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, enables the elected office bearers to correct the various authorities in order to ensure smooth functioning of the Panchayats. The petitioners, if so advised, may file the appropriate petition before the concerned authorities. 3.

With the observations made above, the present writ petition is disposed of.
