In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the respondents not to proceed with the departmental inquiry initiated against the petitioner vide order dated 10.8.2022 (Annexure P-4) passed by respondent No.2, during the pendency of the criminal case instituted against the petitioner.

Learned State counsel submits that during the pendency of the present writ petition, challan has been presented before the competent Court and charges have also been framed and as such, nothing survives in the present writ petition and the same may be disposed of as rendered infructuous.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that in light of the statement given by the learned State counsel, the present writ petition has become infructuous.
