**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) This is third application filed under Section 438 CrPC seeking grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.9 dated 23.01.2023 filed under Sections 307, 341, 323, 324, 427, 506, 148 and 149 IPC at P.S. Dirba, District Sangrur.

Having argued at length, learned counsel for the petitioner while referring to an order dated 17.07.2023 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Sangrur granting bail to one of the co-accused namely Sukhwinder Singh @ Sukhi submits that the petitioner shall surrender before trial Court within a period of seven days from today and would file an application for grant of regular bail and prays for issuance of direction to the trial Court to decide the same at the earliest. On the other hand, learned counsel representing the State as well as learned counsel for the complainant have opposed the prayer made for grant of anticipatory bail in favour of petitioner. 4.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within a period of seven days from today and submits an application seeking grant of regular bail, the same may be decided on merits, within a period of two days thereafter. 5.

Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
