(%('"" "Strange situation has arisen wherein the stand of the State is that the petitioner since was being accommodated in Police District Batala beyond the sanctioned strength. He was asked to furnish affidavit that he will not demand any salary for the period he is there beyond the sanctioned post. Not only this an undertaking was also taken that the employee shall not file any court case. Director General of Police (respondent No.2) is directed to file affidavit to explain as to how the police personnel are being asked to forgo their salary and also to waive of their right to agitate, before the next date of hearing.

dated 07.03.2023 marked as Annexure R/1. It is made clear that in case this Court comes across any such order in future, Director General of Police, Punjab shall be bound by his undertaking/affidavit as filed today. Learned State counsel further submits that vide Annexure R-2/T i.e. order dated 27.02.2023 passed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala and pay vouchers Annexure R-3 and R-4, the grievance of the petitioner primarily stands addressed.
In view of the aforesaid nothing remains to be adjudicated at the hands of this Court. Resultantly, the present writ petition is disposed off in terms of the aforesaid order.
