Learned counsel for the petitioner at the very outset, submits that he restricts his prayer at this stage to issuance of a direction to respondent No.3 - Director, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab to consider the legal notice dated 2.8.2023 (Annexure P-5). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the license issued to him under provisions of Punjab Targeted Public Distribution System (Licensing & Control) Order, 2016 has been arbitrarily suspended vide order dated 31.1.2023 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No,4 - District Controller, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Ferozepur, District Ferozepur and till date the inquiry has not been concluded. It has been submitted that although the petitioner had also served a legal notice dated 2.8.2023 PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.09.12 12:03 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

On asking of the Court, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, upon whom an advance copy of petition had already been served, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Having regard to the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, this Court does not deem it necessary to call for response of the respondents.
