Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks the concession of anticipatory bail, in case FIR No.127 dated 15.05.2024, under Sections 307, 452, 506, 341, 148 and 149 of the IPC, registered at P.S. Tripri Patiala, Tehsil and District Patiala.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in fact, it is a case of version and cross-version, inasmuch as, both the parties suffered injuries in the present scuffle. Moreover, a cross case bearing DDR No.64 dated 15.05.2024, under Sections 323, 324, 506, 341, 148 and 149 of the IPC, has also been registered at the behest of
petitioner party against the complainant party, at P.S. Tripri Patiala.

The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that, the only allegation against the petitioner is that, he caught hold the victim and then his co-accused Taranjit Singh gave Kirch blow to the victim, which attracted the penal provisions of Section 307 of the IPC.

In the meantime, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation and to appear before the investigating agency, as and when called upon to do so.
