Learned State counsel refers to para 3 of the reply dated 24.09.2025 filed by Jagjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran, which reads thus: " 3. That it is submitted that on the receipt of the order dated 17.09.2025 passed by this Hon'ble Court in the instant Petition along with copy of the present petition, the same has been forwarded to the office of the undersigned to conduct the verification of the facts pertaining to the said matter and the same marked to the Station House Officer, Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran and the Station House Officer, Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran further deputed ASI Gurpal Singh, Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran to conduct verification and to submit his report.

During the course of verification, ASI Gurpal Singh approached to the petitioners namely Ranjit Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur and Sarabjit Kaur on 23.09.2025 and got recorded their joint statement in which they stated that they have earlier moved representation that the persons who have registered case against them used to stop them for sowing paddy crops but now, they are not being restrained by anyone nor they have any kind of threat from anyone and even now, they have also cultivated their land. The true translated copy of joint statement of petitioners namely Ranjit Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur and Sarabjit Kaur is annexed herewith as Annexure HIMANI GUPTA 2026.03.
