(ORAL) Prayer in the present civil writ petition, filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to re-issue the passport of the petitioner with his correct date of birth as 28.11.1968. 2.
Today, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondentsUnion of India informs the Court that presently no application for reissuance of the passport of the petitioner is pending before the passport authority. However, she submits that in case the petitioner submits a fresh application for re-issuance of passport duly with his correct date of birth, supported by requisite information as well as supporting documents, the same would be considered and appropriate order shall be passed thereon, in accordance with law and by considering the observations made by this Court in case of "Ajay Bhola vs. Union of India and others" CWP-10188-2025 (decided on 12.12.2025), within a period of eight weeks from the date when DINESH 2026.05.27 13:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
