The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to reissue her passport. 2.
The petitioner is a house wife having two daughters and both are married. The petitioner applied for passport and she was issued passport on 19.11.2014 which was valid upto 18.11.2024. The respondent cancelled passport of the petitioner on the ground that spouse name is incorrect and she was asked to file a fresh application. The petitioner vide application dated 21.04.2023 applied for re-issuance of passport. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was convicted in FIR No.73 dated 03.04.2004, under Section 302 PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.10.06 14:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

of IPC, registered at Police Station, City Hoshiarpur, District Hoshiarpur. The petitioner was awarded life imprisonment. The petitioner preferred appeal. This Court vide order dated 30.04.2007 passed in CRM No.18197 of 2017 in CRA No. 76-DB of 2006 has suspended the sentence. The case of the petitioner is squarely covered by judgment of this Court in Mohan Lal @ Mohna vs. Union of India and others, CWP No. 27167 of 2018. 4.
Learned counsel for Union of India submits that the passport authority would pass an appropriate order after considering the afore-stated judgment within six weeks.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.
