The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to consider entire District Faridkot as one centre for storage of paddy. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are engaged in the business of processing of paddy. The units of the petitioners are falling within jurisdiction of District Faridkot. The respondents have divided Faridkot District into three sub-divisions i.e. Jaitu, Kotkapura and Faridkot. The District Allotment Committee is allotting paddy on the basis of sub-division and not considering the entire District as one centre which is resulting in unequal distribution. The petitioners have made representation dated 20.07.2023 (Annexure P-5) which is followed by legal notice dated PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.09.15 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP No.20480 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:121730 07.08.2023 (Annexure P-6) but respondents are not paying heed to the representation/legal notice of the petitioners. Learned counsel further submits that grievance of the petitioners would be redressed, at this stage, if respondents are directed to consider and adjudicate representation/legal notice of the petitioners.
3.
Mr. Deepanjay Sharma, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, assures the Court that representation/legal notice of the petitioners would be considered and an appropriate order, in accordance with law, would be passed within two weeks from today. 4.
