Prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to regularize the services of the petitioner on completing his three years' probation. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the services of similarly situated employees have already been regularized. He would further contend that the case of the petitioner was recommended for regularization vide memo No.195 dated 08.09.2021 (Annexure P-9), however, till date his services have not been regularized. Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, limits his prayer and states that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to treat the present writ petition as a representation and to take a decision qua the regularization of services of the petitioner in a time-bound manner. In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to treat the present writ petition as a representation and to take a decision qua the regularization of services of the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously and in any case within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
