Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for directing the respondents to grant deemed date promotion to the petitioner as Senior Assistant, with effect from the date when his juniors were promoted.

At the outset, learned counsel on instructions from petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the Legal Notice dated 25.06.2022 (P-9) is decided expeditiously.

Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Mr. D.K. Singal, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent(s)-State and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
