(Oral) This petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of notional pay fixation and seniority to the petitioners, by fixing their pay at par with the candidates who joined in the first list, and arrears of pay from the date of actual joining along with benefit of Leave Travel Concession. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the outset, contends that similarly placed employees, as the petitioners, have already been granted the benefit of notional pay fixation and seniority vide order dated 16.05.2022 (Annexure P-8). At this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied in case respondent No.2 is directed to decide their pending representation, dated 02.05.2023 (Annexure P-6), in a specified period. 3.

In view thereof, without going into merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/Director, Secondary Education, to consider and decide the pending representation dated 02.05.2023, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
