**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.202 dated 02.08.2022 registered under Sections 406, 120-B IPC at P.S. Division No.8, Jalandhar. On 17.10.2022, following order was passed by this Court:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner had gone to Canada on 19.11.2021 and has returned back on 17.02.2022. Signatures of the petitioner have been obtained by one Sushil Kalia on few papers and certificate has been forged in the context of utilization of amount of government grant of Rs.10 lacs. Petitioner has already deposited the amount of Rs.10 lacs along with interest till date in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar.

Notice of motion.

Learned State counsel appears on the basis of advance notice assisted by Inspector Kanwaljit Singh and admits the factum of deposit of aforesaid amount along with interest.

For further consideration, adjourned to 23.11.2022.

In the meanwhile, petitioner is directed to appear before the SHO/Investigating Officer to join investigation on 21.10.2022 at 11.00 A.M. and in the event of his arrest, he shall be enlarged on interim bail, subject to his furnishing requisite bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting Officer. However, petitioner shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. The State may also file status report of the investigation by the adjourned date." Status report by way of affidavit of Daman Bir Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) Jalandhar has been filed on behalf of the respondent No.1. The same is taken on record.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Kulwinder Singh further submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation to the entire satisfaction of the Investigating Officer and his presence is no more required for further investigation of the case.

In view of aforesaid factual position, the interim order dated 17.10.2022 is made absolute. However, the petitioner

shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands disposed of.
