1. The petitioners herein seek that their date of enlistment as Constable be brought at par with the date when SPOs junior to the petitioners were enlisted as Constable on out of turn basis. The petitioners also pray for grant of other consequential benefits.

2. It has been submitted that the case of the petitoners is fully covered by a judgment dated 16.3.2023 passed by this court in CWP-5648-2017 titled as Sukhmander Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others (Annexure P4).

3. Notice of motion.

4. At this stage, on the asking of this Court Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab who is present in the Court accepts notice. Learned State counsel submits that the case of the petitioners shall be considered in accordance MOHAN SINGH 2023.09.12 17:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-20119-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:119279 with law and since they have already sent a legal notice dated 6.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) and the same has not been decided, some direction may be issued at this stage for expeditious disposal of the legal notice.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to consider the legal notice dated 6.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law while bearing in mind the ratio of judgment dated 16.3.2023 (Annexure P-4) and to dispose of the same expeditiously preferably within a period of 6 months from today.

6. A copy of this order along with copy of legal notice dated 6.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur for necessary compliance.
