(Oral) As the Home Secretary of Chandigarh Administration has written to the Under Secreatary Judicial Wing, Ministry of Home Affairs, seeking permission to withdraw prosecution in various FIRs lodged during the farmers agitation vide letter dated 19.02.2025 (Annexure R-1), the learned counsel for the State-UOI, while placing reliance on the said letter, submits that till the clarification is obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs in response to the letter dated 19.02.2025 (Annexure R-1), no effective/coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioners in the FIRs mentioned in the head note. Disposed of.
