(Oral) The present petition has been moved by the petitioner sseeking direction to the respondents to provide necessary protection to their lives and liberty from the hands of accused persons named in FIR No.31 dated 30.3.2014 registered under Sections 302, 392, 506, 148, 149 IPC and Sections 25/27 of Arms Act at Police Station Jaito District Faridkot, who had committed murder of Maninder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh. As per the reply dated 4.11.2019 filed on behalf of the State, which is taken on record, the accused of aforesaid murder case were facing trial in the Court of Addl. Sessions Judge, Faridkot. ( 2 ) CRM-M-40942-2019 been further submitted that petitioners were provided adequate police security to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners. Admittedly, the aforesaid reply was filed in the year 2019. In view of the above, the present petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.3 to assess the threat perception if any is there to the petitioners at this point of time, then to act in accordance with law, if the situation so warrants.
