1. Petitioner-Jagbir Singh aged 61 years who is stated to be having a dispute with his sister-in-law and nephew i.e. respondents No.5 and 6 apprehends threat to his life at the hands of the private respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the ancestral property was already partitioned amongst the three brothers, but despite the same respondents No.5 and 6 on account of their greed have been harassing the petitioner to part with money on account of a joint ancestral house in respect of which the amount equivalent to the share of other two brothers had already been given to them.

3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, to ensure that life and liberty of the petitioner is protected, in case, it is found that there is any threat to the same.

4. A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, for necessary compliance.
