HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 05.03.2025 (Annexure P-14) vide which the claim of the petitioner has been rejected. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Fitter and the subsequent promotion by keeping in view the length of service and to reserve one post of Fitter for the petitioner, during the pendency of the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh petition with better particulars after referring to the relevant Rules dealing with promotion and providing essential qualifications.
