The prayer in the present criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner/convict, currently serving sentence in District Jail, Faridabad. Certain other prayers have also been made. 2.

Without going into the respective contentions of either side, the present petition is disposed of with directions to the appropriate authority to transfer the petitioner from District Jail, Faridabad to Bhondsi Jail, Gurgaon. 3.

The Jail authorities shall ensure that the petitioner is provided adequate treatment, if so required.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
