Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that in terms of the circular issued by the Punjab Government dated 25.04.2017 while the petitioner has been paid the enhanced pension after counting his service rendered with the Punjab State Leather Corporation with effect from 01.02.2022 but the arrears of enhanced pension from 01.11.2009 till January 2022 is required to be paid.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that other retiral benefits also will have to be accordingly revised and the enhanced amount as arrears requires to be released to the petitioner which have not been released.

Per contra, learned State counsel submits that the said aspect shall be examined by the State Government.

Considering that the period rendered with the Corporation has DINESH BANSAL 2023.08.11 16:09 I attest to the accuracy of this order Chandigarh

CWP-11527-2012(O&M) -2- 2023:PHHC:104289 already been taken into consideration to be counted as a qualifying service, in terms of the order dated 25.04.2017, this Court directs the respondents that a revised PPO has to be issued with effect from the date, the petitioner retired and if the enhanced pension has already been released from February, 2022 for the period before the said date from 01.11.2009, arrears are required to be calculated and released. The enhanced gratuity and other retiral benefits are required to be also calculated and arrears are also required to be released. The said exercise now be done within a period of four months from today and the payment be made to the petitioner. 5.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. 6.

It is made clear that no other claim has been pressed by the petitioner.
