**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) Mr. Gurbir Singh Sidhu, Advocate has substituted the previous counsel Mr. Mikhail Kad, Advocate for the petitioner and filed his power of attorney after taking no objection from the previous counsel, which is taken on record. In paragraph 13 of the petition, the petitioner mentioned that he has no criminal history. However, as per para 11 of the status report dated 06.01.2023, one another FIR No. 23 dated 20.04.2017 under Sections 15, 22 of NDPS Act has been registered in the Police Station Ajitwal, District Moga. Since, the petitioner has concealed his criminal antecedents, therefore, the present petition is dismissed.

Liberty is reserved to the petitioner to file a fresh petition. State to hand over the custody certificate to the counsel for the petitioner to enable him to file a fresh petition.

The petitioner is in custody since 15.04.2021 as such, the trial is expedited. Trial Court to make an endeavour to complete the same by 30.04.2023. It is clarified that petitioner shall not seek any adjournment.
