The appellant assails order dated 4.4.2025 passed by learned Additional District Judge, U.T., Chandigarh vide which learned Additional District Judge, U.T., Chandigarh while disposing an application filed under provisions of Section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 has awarded maintenance to the respondent @ Rs.8,000/- per month i.e. Rs.3,000/- per month for the wife and Rs.5,000/- per month for the minor daughter from the date of filing the application alongwith Rs.15,000/- as litigation expenses. 2.

Learned Trial Court while reaching at the said finding noticed that the petitioner (husband) was having monthly income of Rs.19,410/- being employed as Lab Technician in the office District Health and Family Welfare, U.T., Chandigarh. FAO-M-14-2025 (O&M) ( 2 ) Chandigarh and was drawing a salary of Rs.11,000/- per month after the deductions to the extent of about Rs.10,000/- per month. 3.

Having regard to the financial status of the parties and also bearing in mind that the minor daughter of parties is being looked after by the respondent, we do not find the quantum of maintenance to be excessive by any standards. There is no infirmity in the impugned order and the same is upheld. Finding no merit in the appeal the same is hereby dismissed.
