The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Sections 3 and 5 of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisioners (Temporary Release) Act, 2022, issuing writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents-State to extend the time period of temporary release on emergency parole of the petitioner for another eight weeks already granted by this Court vide order dated 02.08.2023 passed in CRWP-6628-2023 by considering the application dated 09.09.2023 submitted by the petitioner before respondent No.4 in view of the fact that the mother of the petitioner is ill and suffering from Acute Myocardial Infarction/ACS.

2023:PHHC:126097 CRWP-8982-2023 -2today as an interim measure, for the reason that the mother of the petitioner was seriously ill and the petitioner was required to attend her. 3.

Today, learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Rajesh Kumar, has submitted that the police have verified the factum of the illness of the mother of the petitioner. As per the police verification, the mother of the petitioner is admitted in Vardha Multispeciality Health Care, Kurukshetra, as an indoor patient and is currently admitted in ICU. Therefore, it would be justified to extend the parole already availed by the petitioner by another period of four weeks starting from today. 4.

Ordered accordingly. However, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the jail authorities concerned, on the next date of expiry of four weeks from today, at 10:00 A.M.
