At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has an effective alternative remedy under Section 201 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

In view of the above, this Court does not find it appropriate to entertain the writ petition. The petitioner, if so advised, may avail the alternative remedy.

With the observations made above, the present writ petition is disposed of.
