MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to protect his life and liberty from danger at the hands of his opponents.

Learned State counsel, in compliance of order dated 14.09.2023, has filed affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Law & Order, Hisar, which is taken on record subject to just exceptions. Copy has been provided to the counsel opposite. Learned State counsel submits that adequate security is provided to the petitioner as and when he is to be taken to various Courts for hearings. Learned State counsel has further submitted that in case the petitioner so desires, he can always move an application before the trial Court for getting his testimony recorded through the virtual mode.

In the circumstances, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would move an appropriate application before the trial Court concerned for getting the deposition of the petitioner recorded PUNEET SACHDEVA 2024.01.04 15:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. In case any such application is moved before the trial Court by the petitioner, the same shall be decided expeditiously by the trial Court concerned after taking into account the alleged threat perception, if any, in accordance with law.
