       This petition has been filed by the petitioner by way of public interest litigation against rampant encroachments and illegal construction on public property/roads in Municipal Council, Dhanaula, District Barnala. He submits that the petitioner has filed a representation with regard to his concerns/grievances , the latest one being dated 28.06.2021 (Annexure P11), before the respondentauthorities but no response has been received nor has any action been taken by the respondentauthorities so far. Learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab submits that the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner shall be considered and decided and necessary action, if so warranted, would be taken by the authorities in accordance with law expeditiously.

In view of the statement made by learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, the petition stands disposed of. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
