& for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.73 dated 20.09.2024 under Sections 498-A and 506 of IPC registered at Women Police Station, District Police Commissionerate Ludhiana (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that petitioner was granted interim relief and the matter was referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre where the matter has been resolved between the parties. Settlement/agreement dated 16.12.2025 is also annexed. Petitioner will remain bound by the terms and conditions of said settlement. In pursuance of the terms of settlement, today counsel for petitioner has handed over one draft bearing No.000997 drawn at Axis Bank amounting to Rs.1 lakh to counsel for respondent No.2/complainant. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 received bank draft and confirmed that the matter has been settled in Mediation and Conciliation Centre and the parties will remain bound by its terms and conditions. He has no objection in granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.

In view of the aforesaid factual position, anticipatory bail petition is not opposed by learned State counsel. 5.

Considering the aforesaid factual position, it is evident that the matter has been settled between the parties in Mediation and Conciliation Centre. Both the parties will remain bound by its terms and conditions. No purpose would be served by sending petitioner behind the bars. Therefore, anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner Darshavtar Singh is allowed. He be not arrested. In case of his arrest, he be released on bail to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer concerned, subject to condition that petitioner will join investigation as and when required. He will not tamper with or interfere with investigation and will not leave country without prior permission as provided under Section 482 (2) of BNSS, 2023.
