Through this petition, the petitioner seeks regular bail in case bearing FIR No.124 dated 21.10.2021, registered under Sections 324, 307, 34 IPC, at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Status report by way of an affidavit dated 02.03.2022 of the SHO, Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Registry, is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been involved in the present case; that, as per the prosecution, the petitioner along with the co-accused, have given stab injuries on the left side of the upper back, leg and thumb, of the injured/complainant and that all the injuries are on the non-vital parts. He further submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 21.10.2021 and that, as far as two other cases, registered and/or pending against the petitioner are concerned, the petitioner is on bail in those cases. CRM-M-51981-2021(O&M) -2On the other hand, while opposing the prayer for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, learned State counsel, on the instructions from ASI Rajesh, does not dispute the custody period of the petitioner. She, however, submits that all the three injuries on the person of the injured/complainant are attributed to the petitioner and that the petitioner is a habitual offender. She further submits that post presentation of challan, charges are yet to be framed.
