Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to conclude the investigation in FIR No.46, dated 06.04.2022, registered under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Ferozepur Cantt, Ferozepur.

This Court while issuing notice of motion vide order dated 15.09.2023, directed the respondents-State to file status report. 3.

Pursuant to the aforesaid order, status report dated 01.09.2024 has been filed in Court and the same is taken on record. 4.

Learned State counsel submits that non-bailable warrants against accused namely Satish Arya, Suresh Ahivar, Anand Kumar @ Nand Lal Rajpur were issued for 12.11.2024. He further submits that the investigation is in progress and SIT has already been constituted in the matter and the investigation will be concluded expeditiously. Heard learned counsel for the parties and also gone through the case file.

The relevant portion of above stated status report i.e. paras 7,8 and 9 of the status report reads thus:- "7. That thereafter due to certain transfers of the members of the SIT constituted under the orders of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ferozepur, now new SIT was constituted under the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur bearing No. 7987/8075 dated 22.03.2024 consisting of Incharge Cyber Cell, Shri Randhir Kumar, SP (Investigation) Ferozepur, SHO PS Cantt Ferozepur, alongwith Shri Naveen Kumar, DSP (NDPS) Ferozepur. Now the said newly constituted SIT is investigating the matter.

8. That the police department made its best efforts to trace the culprits by conducting raids and there is no inaction or delay on the part of police department.

9. That the non-bailable warrants of accused Satish Arya, Suresh Ahivar, Anand Kumar @ Nand Lal Rajpur were got issued from the court of Smt. Balvinder Kumar Dhaliwal, JMIC, Ferozepur for 12.11.2024."

In view of the above, no further action is called for and the petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents-State to conclude the investigation expeditiously.
