(ORAL) Prayer in this criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is for issuance of appropriate directions to respondents No. 3 and 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondent who is harassing and threatening the present petitioner and his family members.

After arguing for sometime, when this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer made; learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take recourse to the appropriate remedy as per law.
