The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to consider their case for allotment of paddy on the basis of enhanced capacity. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that petitioners have enhanced their capacity, resultantly, they are able to process more paddy than in the previsous years. As per KMS 2023-24 and 2022-23, in case of enhancement of capacity, a miller is required to apply for provisional registration. The respondents on 31.07.2023 published policy for KMS 2023-24. The last date for provisional registration was 22.07.2023 whereas policy was published on 31.07.2023, thus, petitioners could not apply for provisional registration. The petitioners, in terms of KMS 2023-24 PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.09.12 17:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.20164 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:119306 and 2022-23 policy are eligible for allotment of paddy on the basis of enhanced capacity.

Mr. Deepanjay Sharma, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, accepts notice and submits that the Director, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab, Chandigarhrespondent No. 2 would look into grievance of the petitioners and appropriate order would be passed within two weeks from today. 5.

In the wake of statement of learned State counsel, the petition stands disposed of. The respondent No. 2 would consider the present petition as representation of the petitioners.
