COCP No.3348 of 2019 & connected petitions #2# Applications are allowed and the matter is taken up for hearing today itself.

Main case As identical questions of law and facts arise in all aforesaid five contempt petitions, the same are being disposed of together by this common order.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in compliance of order dated 03.05.2019 passed by this Court in CWP No.3175 of 2015 and other connected petitions, the services of the petitioners in all writ petitions have been regularized. He states that pecuniary benefits, as directed, have been released to two of the petitioners namely, Surinder Singh and Darshan Singh. One petitioner, named Shashi Kapur in COCP No.3349 of 2019 has since died and the process of releasing his pecuniary benefits to the legal heirs of deceased Shashi Kapur is under way. He further submits that in respect of remaining two petitioners, namely Tilak Raj and Paramjit Singh, there were certain issues regarding calculation of the arrears, which are being sorted out. He assures that the arrears of the pecuniary benefits to the legal heirs of deceased Shashi Kapur as also Tilak Raj and Paramjit Singh would be released within three months from today.

In view thereof, present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.

Needless to say that if the order is not complied with, the petitioner(s) would be at liberty to revive the petition(s). A photo copy of this order be placed on all the connected files.
