The petitioner complains of the pendency of multiple inquiries by the different authorities have been initiated in the various complaints. The petitioner submits that he is being made to attend the inquiry proceedings at different places.

Mr. Nikhil Chopra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, has entered appearance on behalf of the official respondents and has submitted that on the request of the petitioner, the competent authority has transferred the inquiry outside the jurisdiction of District Sangrur. He further submits that the matter has been marked to the Inquiry Officer, who is positioned in Faridkot.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner contends that out of three inquiries, only one inquiry has been transferred. Civil Writ Petition No. 25718 of 2021 inquiry. After addressing arguments for some time, he did not press the prayer for consolidation of the inquiries by the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab. 4.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, for transferring the two pending inquiries along with the inquiry, which has already been transferred to the Inquiry Officer, positioned at Faridkot. It is expected that the Director will sympathetically consider the request and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law.
