Learned counsel submits that the junior of the petitioner namely Jagdish Raj was ordered to be promoted w.e.f. 30.07.2010, whereafter, a show cause notice had been issued on 12.10.2015 for refixation of seniority, which upon challenge by this Court in CWP-27064-2015, Annexure P-8, which was disposed of vide judgment dated 23.03.2023 along with a batch of petitions, with a direction to refix the seniority, however, the same has again been wrongly fixed, which was further challenged in CWP-2649-2024 titled as Daya Parkash vs. State of Punjab and Others, decided on 20.09.2024 along with other connected cases. Despite the above, the seniority has still not been correctly framed. In this regard, a legal notice dated 12.06.2025, Annexure P-12, has been served upon respondents, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the MOHIT 2025.07.30 16:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 4. In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 12.06.2025, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
