The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for pre-mature release. 2.

Learned counsel submits that despite a direction of this Court vide order dated 12.05.2014, the case of the petitioner has not been considered for premature release, even, though he has undergone more than two decades of sentence. He limits his prayer at this stage for consideration of his claim at the hands of the authorities concerned.

Mr. Jagdish Manchanda, Addl. AG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 that by treating the present petition as representation, a decision be taken thereon in accordance with law and conveyed to the petitioner, to take further necessary steps, if required.
