Prayer in this petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No.231 dated 15.09.2021 registered under Sections 344, 120-B IPC (Sections 302, 201, 342 IPC added later on) at Police Station Beas, Amritsar Rural.

Custody certificate filed by learned State counsel is taken on record, as per which, the petitioner is behind bars for 2 years and 14 days. 3.

Learned State counsel submits that out of 18 witnesses, 6 have been examined and remaining witnesses have now been summoned for 12.10.2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the petition at this stage and for issuance of a direction to the trial Court to decide the case in a time bound manner.

Dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
