Prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash and set aside the Agenda Item B-2 of the 302nd Meeting dated 25.03.2021 (Annexure P-7) whereby some of the nonteaching staff, including the petitioners, have not been granted the benefits of career progression after 5, 10 and 15 years of service, which have been granted to other non-teaching staff.

Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that in this regard a representation dated 13.08.2021 (Annexure P-10) as well as a legal notice dated 19.10.2021 (Annexure P-11) were also sent to the respondents, however, no response has been received qua the same. She would further contend that certain information was received by the petitioner which has YOGESH SHARMA 2021.12.17 10:16 I attest to the accuracy of this order.

CWP-25579-2021(O&M) -2now been appended with the present petition. Learned counsel for the petitioners, at this stage, limits her prayer and states that she would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to treat the present writ petition as a representation and to take a decision qua the same in a time-bound manner.

Since the case is not being decided on merits, there is no requirement to call upon the respondents at this stage. Heard.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to treat the present writ petition as a representation and to take a decision qua the same, in accordance with law, expeditiously and in any case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Disposed off accordingly.
